Raid encounters were traditionally mobs that required a substantial force to defeat, such as gods and dragons, as well as long-respawn targets killed for a specific purpose other than experience, such as Sir Lucan. They are often the boss, or one of several bosses, of a particular zone.

On EQLegends, many of these have "Solo" versions, while still providing some of the best loot in the game.

This page lists major raid encounters by era and attempts to sort them by general difficulty. Note that the minis from hate are only included for their loot value and are listed alphabetically, not by difficulty.

Lockouts

Each Raid instance has a weekly lockout per difficulty, that resets on Tuesdays, which is shared between solo and multiplayer instances. The initial lockout awareds full loot, but afterwards, each raid can be cleared again every 18 hours for an additional single piece of loot per boss killed on that difficulty.
