Description
While fighting alongside Trakanon during the Ring of Scale Civil War, the mighty dragon Kodezal was mortally wounded by Phara Dar. In his final desperate moments, Kodezal called out to Cazic-Thule who responded by transforming Kodezal into an undead dragon of terrible power. Now, with his memories all but forgotten and in the form of a dracoliche, Kodezal serves Cazic-Thule as his second-in-command in the Plane of Fear.
This towering skeletal dragon who breathes a flesh-rotting miasma is the second strongest critter in the Plane of Fear.
Strategy
Engaging a dracoliche will not cause Cazic-Thule to agro if he is up.
Procs the same 1500 HP life-tap as Venril Sathir, Trakanon, and Nortlav: Deadly Lifetap. Also has a relatively weak disease AOE. Does not enrage. Does not rampage.
It's recommended to have the tank use Evasive discipline reduce the proc rate of draco's lifetap. Using a slower two-handed weapon will also reduce the number of ripostes and potentially the number of procs as well. Draco won't proc at all when he hits a tank with Rune IV or similar damage absorbing spells.
Draco, like other skeletal dragon model NPCs, have unexpectedly small hitboxes. It's worth the effort to have enchanters, necromancers, and druids charm some pets as they will have less trouble putting dps into draco compared to melee dps class characters. Good charm pet candidates include Irak Altil, A fetid fiends, and A Shiverbacks.
Somehow, not flagged as undead.
