Description

Considers your current target, which displays an indication of your faction standing as well as an indication of the target's relative level and strength.

The target can be specified by name, including pet names, and can use chat variables.

Common abbreviation: /con

The /con check gives you a quick read on how tough a creature is compared to your character. Each color corresponds to a level range, and those ranges determine both danger and expected experience. Most colors follow fixed level gaps, while a few shift slightly depending on your level as described below.

Fixed Ranges

Red - The target is 4 or more levels above you.
Very dangerous, but excellent experience.

Yellow - 1-3 levels above you.
Challenging, strong experience.

White - Same level as you.
Even match, solid experience.

Dark Blue - 1-5 levels below you.
Manageable fights, still worthwhile experience.

Variable Ranges

Light Blue - Roughly 6-15 levels below you.
Moderate experience.
Light Blue begins appearing once you reach level 25. The exact point where Light Blue ends (and Green begins) shifts slightly by level.

Green - About 6-20 levels below you.
Minimal experience.
The upper end of Green varies depending on when Grey becomes available for your level.

Grey - Too low to award experience.
Grey appears once a creature is far enough below your level that it no longer grants XP; this threshold changes as you level up.
