Description
Hits like a truck for their level (up to 165, I believe). Placeholder is
a cauldron hammerhead on a 22 minute respawn. The
drops about 1/10th of the time. Ferocious has a spawn rate of approximately 5% it seems.
It is not unusual for you to kill more than 30 placeholders before getting a ferocious to spawn. This equates to camps of more than 10 hours being 'normal' in your pursuit of this beast!

This means a roughly 1% chance of any spawn being a named with a chest, and given the mob's 22-minute respawn time, players have about a 3% chance per hour of getting a chest.
