Castle Access and Library Key

Complete Hate, Betrayal, and Trust to enter Nektropos Castle. Inside, hail Lord Ollix Everling and follow his dialogue. He is near the ruined harpsichord in the main hall; his exact NPC coordinates have not yet been recorded.

For the Nektropos Library Key, collect these four glowing ground items. The coordinates are the items' ground-spawn positions, not the nearby NPC positions.

Combine the four components in the ruined harpsichord at (368, 65), in the main lobby near Lord Ollix Everling. It is directly to the left while facing the staircase.

You say, 'Hail, Lord Ollix Everling'

Lord Ollix Everling says, 'Ah, Soandso! Welcome to our castle, such as it is. As you can plainly see, the situation is much more dire than what I was able to communicate in letters sent outside of these walls. I'll be brief. My sisters are all [dead], murdered in their beds by a treasonous cohort of my house's staff.'

You say, 'dead'

Lord Ollix Everling says, 'The current situation is truly a grave one. My father has gone mad. Locking himself away in the library or disappearing for days at a time into unknown parts of the castle and has devolved into him raising monstrosities and filling the castle with these foul creatures. It truly hurts my heart to say this but for the sake of my house and our family's business and reputation I must ask you to put him out of his misery. It is a horrible choice I must make but recent events require it. Perhaps my mother knows where he is spending his time. Regrettably though I have been unable to speak with or console her since my sister's passing. She locked herself in her chambers in mourning and the occasional sobbing wail is my clue that she is still well.'

Find Lady Sileniu Everling in the northeast of the second floor, at (552, -132, 17).

You say, 'Hail, Lady Sileniu Everling'

Lady Sileniu Everling says, '[He] must pay! He must pay for what he did to my children! He must pay for what he did to my family! I thought leaving this world would bring me peace but there is only pain.'

You say, 'He'

Lady Sileniu Everling says, 'Plimptos! And his other damnable eunuchs. May they suffer for all time in the plane of torment. But Plimptos still walks this earth... while my daughters lie slain. Please [swear] to me that you will right this injustice and allow me to rest in peace.'

You say, 'swear'

Lady Sileniu Everling says, 'Oh thank you Soandso. You are a walking blessing for our family. Now go! He should be locked away still. Go and find him and not allow him to draw another breath in this world.'

Complete The Betrayer: kill the Everling sisters, Alexa Everling and Lord Rikantus Everling, then say 'end' to Plimptos.

You receive Blood's Unity.

You say, 'dead'

Lady Sileniu Everling says, 'It is over? You killed him? May my soul go to rest finally?'

You completed the task that Lady Everling assigned to you, but the atrocities you had to commit weigh heavily on your soul. You realize you must [confess] the truth to Lady Everling.

You say, 'confess'

Lady Sileniu Everling says, 'No, no, no! You were meant to kill the betrayer, not make the souls of my children suffer! And my poor beloved! I had already lost him to madness but now you have made him truly lost to all.'

Kill Lady Sileniu Everling.

Your faction standing with Beta Dubious could not possibly get any worse.

You gain experience!!

Return to Lord Ollix Everling in the main hall.

You say, 'tragic'

Lord Ollix Everling says, 'I see . . . this is most regrettable. It burdens my heart that I must now lay to rest the last of my family. Know that you are a true friend of the Everling Dynasty. I do hope that we can meet again some day on more joyous terms.'

You have completed the achievement: The Tragic Tale of House Everling

You should now be able to open all doors and kill all rares in Nektropos Castle.
