Checklist
- With room for a container in your inventory bring Vin Moltor a Rat Ear Pie and 3x Bottle of Kalish to get, or kill him until he drops, a Severed Paw
- Camp Gynok Moltor (spawns just outside room 4 on the 3rd floor of Befallen until he drops the Platinum Ring , Gold Ring ,and Copper Ring
- Swim to the bottom of the pit in Blackburrow for the Silver Ring (see map for location on 3rd floor (several razorgills surround it).
- Combine the rings together in the Severed Paw
Walkthrough
This quest has been revamped many times from the original vanilla quest, which is due to the revamped zones in EQL.
Step 1: The Severed Paw (Qeynos Catacombs)
The Severed Paw comes from Vin Moltor in Qeynos Catacombs. There are two ways to acquire it:
- Killing him (25% drop rate), typically an hour or so camp before you get the paw. Killing him results in hits to the following factions: Antonius Bayle, Coalition of Tradefolk, Guards of Qeynos, Merchants of Qeynos. So if you have to kill him 4 times to get the Paw it may be too much of a faction hit for you.
- Alternatively you can use Skill Baking (or hire a baker) to produce a Rat Ear Pie (Trivial 142 Baking, but is so easy/cheap to make you should have no problems creating it at 135 baking). See the Baking Quick Leveling Guide if you would like to level your baking. 1-135 will take about an hour. He also needs 3x Bottle of Kalish with the pie.
Both strategies take about the same amount of time. The latter is recommended because you get to keep leveled baking. (You will need it one day for the amazing Shawl quest in Thurgadin).
Step 2: The Rings (Befallen)
Kill Moltor until he drops the Copper Ring , Platinum Ring and Gold Ring.
Run to Blackburrow, swim to the bottom of the pit and grab the Silver Ring ground spawn.
Combined the 4 into the Severed Paw for the Paw of Opolla
