Description
Basil is the easier of the two enemies spawned by the Langseax quest. He spawns significantly more often and is drastically easier than his counterpart, Paglan. The wiki previously stated this enemy is a Rogue, this did not appear to be true, I let him attack me in the back for awhile and he never attempted a backstab and I never got a feeling he was getting an extra attack from attempting a frontal backstab. As a level 25 Dwarf Warrior, he never hit me for more than 39 in a single hit and was quite easy to solo.
There have been occasional reports of him spawning elsewhere, but in ~4 1/2 hours of repeating this quest both Basil and Paglan spawned near #16 on the West Karana map and wandered slightly around that mountain top every single time. Basil is soloable by a level 24 barbarian warrior with shop bought 13/51 two handed hammer and 71 worn AC.
