Tutorial Zone

The Tutorial Zone is the starter area for all new characters in Norrath. It has a bank, a limited merchant, and a cave area (not to be confused with the Mines of Gloomingdeep, which is a tutorial zone in other eras/servers). The most important thing you can do here is complete the initial quests for some XP and obtain the Boots of the Long Road, which have a clicky speed buff. Consider obtaining 3 of the boots, one for your feet slot, and one for each "any" slot. You will gain the HP and AC boosts from each of them.

This zone is the starter zone for a reason: it's very safe. Nothing will aggro on you here, regardless of race, class, or deity choice.

Popular Camps

Cemetery: There is only one place to really "camp" here, and that's the cemetery. You can kill skeletons here to your heart's content, turning in their skulls for boots, and merging those boots until you grow bored.

Traveling To and From the Tutorial Zone

You can only enter the tutorial zone with new character. Once you leave the tutorial zone, there is no going back.
