Overview
"Easy" faction quests you can do in bulk with little effort.
Tips and Hotkeys
Sometimes you'll be carrying food/drink items. Be sure to put disposable items in first/second slot so you dont eat/drink your quest items.
For some quests, its possible to "hold" many more items on your cursor. I estimate this to be between 15-30 items. This only works on quests where you ask for an item, and is best when you do not get an item in return when handing in an item. If you do this, and run into a door, press "u" to use the door, as clicking on it will attempt to give the item on your cursor to the door (doors dont want your items).
You can check your faction with anyone by typing /faction in the chat window to bring up a window.
Hotkeys:
- Quest-Get Item
- Note: Spam this to get inventory full.
- /say "<trigger phrase>"
- /autoinv
- Quest-Give Item
- Note: The exact same as using the "u" key, but in a hotkey. Have the NPC targeted, pick up an item, and use hotkey/u to open up a trade window and give it to them.
- Note: The issue is that if the target is a merchant, you must manually trade the item first, as it will open up a trade window otherwise.
- /usetarget
- Quest-Destroy Item
- Note: This will destroy what is on your cursor.
- Note: Turn off destroy confirmation in Options - Gameplay - Confirmations - Fast Item Destroy
- /destroyitem
Some quests require additional faction. Some tips to get around this:
- If a rogue/bard/monk, you can sneak behind the npc to get indifferent faction. Note that when you Hail or converse with them, they will likely turn around to look at you, breaking the sneak. A walking npc doesn't turn when talked to. Rogues can use sneak really early on (before level 10).
- If a monk/necro/shd, you can open a trade window, then feign death to get indifferent faction. This can also work on "ready to attack" npcs, if done quickly enough.
- Enchanters have all sorts of forms and other tracks to help with faction, and includes quite a few friendly races at level 10.
