Description
There are at most two heretics up at any given time, usually on opposite sides of the map. Respawn time is one hour for each spawn (i.e. they are separate spawns). They share a spawn table with Jelquar the Soulslayer, meaning that if Jelquar is up there can only be one heretic invader up and the quest will be more dangerous since Jelquar is higher level and can see through invis.
- Locations:
- East of xxxx, 2000
- West of xxxx, -3000
- South of 0, xxxx (however found a couple at 400, xxxx)
- North of -3000, xxxx (however found one close to the dock once)
- To avoid the HT, keep the mob at a distance or send in a charm/pet. Snare and root are effective here, but keep in mind they will still continue to cast their other spells on you.
- Heretics are rarely attacked and sometimes killed by other mobs. They have only been seen attacked by tigers. Catmen, gorillas, pandas, spirits, and snakes do not engage them. Confirmation needed.
Keep in mind the Trivial Loot Code - if the heretics (or anything in The Warrens/Stonebrunt Mountains) are trivial to your party, you will not get unique drops (ie: heads).- Trivial Loot code is no longer in effect. However this information remains relevant for any future server launches.

Once a heretic has spawned it will immediately begin to wander. They seem to wander indefinitely only stopping a few seconds now and then when changing direction. Tracking is highly recommended.
Can be found in the middle/southern part of the zone as well as on the west and east corridors. Some coordinates:
